Our SR Testing Process

We coordinate the full test process from prep through results — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidence at every step.


1. Mock-Up Preparation
Contractor prepares a 4’x4’ concrete sidewalk section with broom finish.


2. Curing & Staining

  • Concrete cures for 4 days
  • Surface is stained per manufacturer’s instructions
  • Stain dries for 1 day before testing


3. Independent Testing & Verification

  • Third-party specialists test the surface
  • All testing is performed in accordance with ASTM E1918
  • Target result: SR of 0.33 or higher to meet spec
